RITE AID: A Must Know When Using Your $3/$15 Survey Coupon!

I headed to Rite Aid this afternoon in hopes of a few razors and to hit the P&G Promo of buy $30 get $10 +up. I had everything figured out on my shopping list and knew I was good to go. Here's what I did:

2 Gillette Fusion Proglide Razors $9.89

-used 2 $4/1 c

-used $1 VV

-used $2 +up

Total: $10.33 after tax and received 2 $5 +ups

(would have been better for me, but I let $6 in +up expire this weekend while I was out of town. I thought I had another week. So sad.)

T2

2 Pantene Shampoos/Conditioners 2/$5.98

2 Gillette Body Washes 2/$7.96

2 Secret Deodorants 2/$7.96

1 Secret Body Spray $3.98

2 Dawn Dish Soaps $.97 each

1 Oral-B toothbrush $2.43

Total Before Coupons: $30.25 (this price qualifies me for the $10 +up!)

-used 1 FREE Pantene from mail

-used $1/1 Pantene from 7/31 P&G

-used 2 $2/1 Gillette Body Washes from 7/31 P&G

-used 2 $1/1 Secret Deodorants from 7/31 P&G

-used buy 2 Secret Deodorants get FREE body Spray from 7/31 P&G

-used $.75/1 Oral B Toothbrush from 7/31 P&G

-used $3/$15 Survey (remember you can't do these online anymore but they will take it off in-store)

-used 2 $5 +ups from T1

Total: $4.49

NO $10 +UP PRINTED!

Luckily, I know the manager and he was at the next register. I walked over to show him what had happened and he pointed out my P&G promo showed I purchased $28.25. WHAT???????  I know I bought enough to qualify. This didn't make sense.... UNTIL, I remembered what he had told me when I double checked with him about the survey coupon when I had just walked in. He said they will price modify an item by $3 to give you your discount. GOT IT! When he priced modified my item for the survey receipt, it bumped me below my $30! That's why my receipt showed me being short. Easy fix though, he just returned one of my items and rang it back through with no cost to me. I got my $10 +up!

If you're ever looking for an amazing Rite Aid to shop at, I go up north to the Wandermere location. Rich was the manager who helped me, but I have to say their whole team is great. Also, if you want any razors, they still have some. The razor wall shows they are out, but you can find them on end caps and I saw a few by the register. 

Let me know if anyone else has hit this same issue. It can be as simple as looking at your receipt!
