A lot of people will go through the coupons they get in the Sunday paper and just clip the few that they think they will use. You will not save a lot of money this way! That is why most people find couponing a waste of time--why clip coupons to save $2.00 to $3.00 a week? Start clipping and saving all of the coupons and you will start saving more money!
For example, I like crest toothpaste. Before I started seriously couponing, I would have only saved coupons for Crest. Now that I am serious about saving money, I clip every toothpaste coupon. I am glad I did, because this week I got free Colgate toothpaste from RiteAid (okay, I had to pay .36 in tax!) Yes, I like Crest, but it is $4.00 a tube--which is way more than I will ever pay for toothpaste again!!!! I don't think I can really be brand specific when I only paid .36 for toothpaste that normally costs $4.49!
so moral of the story is:
clip all of your coupons. you never know when you will be able to get free toothpaste!
oh, and here is how to get your own Colgate toothpaste through this Saturday if you have the right coupons:
Colgate total advanced, total, max white or pro clinical toothpastes are on sale for $2.99--buy one and get a $2.00 +up reward. If you have a $1.00 coupon for these it makes them free! +up rewards roll, which means you can then turn around and use that reward to purchase your next toothpaste and still get a +up reward back. We bought 6 tubes of toothpaste this last Sunday and only spent $2.16!!
Very good point. I have been saving all of mine and save a ton more money since I have!
ReplyDeleteI am/was one of those people. I am really trying to cut all coupons. The way I look at it is, if I dont use the coupon, I am sure I can find someone who will.
ReplyDeleteand if you have friends that save coupons you can trade for ones you do use...that is the beauty of it all :)
ReplyDeleteI have so many friends giving me coupons now, that I have too many for myself. don't be afraid to ask us for a coupon....I may just have one for you!
